Toulouse, full sister to Parzival, passed away. One of the most famous broodmares of the Netherlands passed away last night. It is the preferente elite-prestatie merrie Toulouse (Jazz x Ulft), known as the full sister of the Olympic dressage horse Parzival of Adelinde Cornelissen. Toulouse was eighteen years old and produced fourteen offspring. One of them is the ZZ-Zwaar (Advanced/4th) dressage horse Genua TC (by Charmeur) with Jeanine Nieuwenhuis.
Toulouse was still in the meadow at Jan Streppel, Wilp, who continues his breeding with Stoeterij Beltmanshoeve from Stephan & Evelien Haarman. The mare was twins with Tuzla, who passed away a few months ago. Tusla produced two Prix St Georges/Intermediair dressage horses including the KWPN and Oldenburg approved stallion Armani (by United). They are not only full sisters to Parzival, but also of the KWPN, AES and Oldenburg approved stallion Fleau de Baian. He already won the KNHS indoor Championships twice with Adelinde Cornelissen: 2017 ZZ-Zwaar (Advanced/4th) level and in 2018 in the Prix St Georges/Intermediair.
Toulouse's offspring is also regularly in the news. At the KNHS Indoor Championships 2018, her son Genua TC won silver with Jeanine Nieuwenhuis, after they already paricipated at the World Championships for young dressage horses. Bretagne-STR. (by 00 Seven) competes with Lischa de Vos at Zwarte Tour (Inter A/B/II) and two offspring of Zuidenwind are classified Z2- dressae (Advanced medium/3rd).
"Iti s a pity that Toulouse is no longer there. It was a special mare for Jan and us. Fortunately, we have two offspring of Toulouse were we continue our breeding program, so that we can enjoy the great dressage genes of Toulouse for a long time", says Stephan and Evelien Haarman.
